CWRT Finance, Fund and IS Officer

Job Purpose:

To develop and operate CWRT’s accounting arrangements; to develop and operate CWRT’s financial data recording and analysis systems; to support compliance, risk and credit control management; to provide financial input to CWRT’s contractual arrangements; and to fulfil CWRT’s IS management role.

Key Role & Responsibilities:

  • Operation of Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers under Sage Accounts.

  • Determination and posting of appropriate month end journals.

  • Preparation of monthly accounts.

  • Preparation of annual accounts and support of year end audit.

  • Collection and submission of data for annual FCA returns.

  • Joint preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.

  • Oversight of financial data, management and reporting systems.

  • Collection and provision of key financial operational information.

  • Development, maintenance and operation of fund management and reporting systems.

  • Support credit control with reports and analyses.

  • Support for compliance and risk.

  • Loan disbursement and administrative functions on loan management system.

  • Support of the financial aspects of new and existing funding and business support contracts.

  • Management of CWRT’s Information Systems hardware and software.

  • Provision of internal technical support.

Other Responsibilities/Notes:

As required and agreed on an ad hoc basis but in general to contribute in any way to assist the smooth running and success of the business. Compliance with all CWRT’s policies and procedures.

Responsible for staff/equipment:

No line management; responsible for all IT equipment

Required experience:

The ideal candidate will be very analytical, numbers literate and have a strong attention to detail, with at least 2 years’ experience of working within a finance related role.

Job Type & Salary:

This post is a full-time, permanent position within a small and friendly team based at The Enterprise Centre, Coventry University Technology Park, Coventry.

Salary dependant on experience at £19,000.00 to £21,000.00 per annum.

Hours of Work:

  • 37.5 hours per week to be worked as follows:

  • Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 5.00pm (less ½ hour lunch break each day)

Holiday Entitlement:

  • 25 days plus Bank Holidays
