We are thrilled to announce the launch of our crowdfunding campaign to deliver our next programme of The Financial Fit (TFF), which is uniquely designed to address the financial and individual challenges faced by women-led businesses. The crowdfunding initiative showcases interviews with TFF participants, trainers and CWRT team members, all of which demonstrate and tell the story of the incredible impact the programme has had on their businesses.
Statistics show that businesswomen in the UK are at a huge disadvantage, shockingly with only 6% of female founders gaining venture funding. For every £1 of equity investment in the UK in 2021, all-female-founder teams received just 2p. CWRT recognises the need to empower and enable businesswomen with correct skills, knowledge, and confidence to navigate the financial complexities of business ownership, and break through the glass ceilings that have long been holding them back.
Building on the success of a self-funded
pilot cohort in 2021, we are eager to revive and extend the impact of TFF, to further the impact it has already had across the West Midlands. The pilot demonstrated exceptional success, proving the programme's effectiveness in empowering women in business and supporting their business growth. The results were staggering - participants gained new contracts, negotiated long term rent increases, and employed more team members. The programme equipped businesswomen with the essential tools to grow and thrive in the challenging socio-economic landscape.
We are actively seeking to reintroduce this programme, to offer free support to all women-led businesses across the West Midlands.
